If you represent or own a company and would like The Tennis Mom to review a product that you feel is a good fit for the parents of competitive junior tennis players, please send an email to nicole (at) thetennismom (dot) com with a brief description and photos (PDF format works best) of your product outlining its features and benefits and why you think tennis parents should know about it. I am happy to review products that can help tennis parents manage the day-to-day of training, tournaments, travel, parenting, fitness and such.
Please do not send me products I have not agreed to review. I can’t say it clearer than that. If you want me to try something, just send me an email and ask!
Audience:
My primary audience is moms and dads of competitive junior tennis players. I also have small contingent of player agents, university scouts, tennis coaches, private tennis clubs and tennis academies in my subscriber base. While a large percentage of my subscribers are located in North America, my audience is global and I do have readers on every continent. This doesn’t mean your product has to be distributed or available worldwide, merely that from time to time I am grateful to review a product that all my readers may be able to access.
My audience is a niche market. They are interested in competitive junior tennis. Their children are poised to, or already involved in competitive tennis, locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. They already have coaches and a team around them. As a result I am unlikely to review books or videos that teach tennis, offer a way to a better modern forehand, extol the virtues of the game-based approach or promote this tactic over that tactic. The Tennis Mom is NOT a tennis coaching blog, it is a niche parenting blog. There are lots of tennis instruction sites, perhaps your product would fit better elsewhere.
Policies:
There is no charge to have The Tennis Mom review your product. I do require a NON-RETURNABLE sample of your product to be used and tested. Please note that products are not reviewed unless they have been tested.
Testing can take time! Depending on the type of product, I like to put an item to its full use in order to better understand how well it withstands travel, competition, kids! (a biggie) or a sweaty tennis bag! I am a voracious reader, so book reviews generally take less time than a new product review.
Once a product is sent to The Tennis Mom:
If I have agreed to test and review your product:
- Your company agrees that I am under no obligation to write a positive review of your product. I will write an honest review of your product including the strengths, assets, weaknesses and limitations I discovered. I am just a tennis mom and that is the perspective I take in all my reviews. Please note that I am under no obligation to present your product or your company in a positive light. That doesn’t mean I won’t say nice things, just that I need to be honest about what I think.
- Your company accepts that I advise my readers of which products have been sent to me for review so that they can determine individually if my review is legitimate or not.
I appreciate your interest in The Tennis Mom!
