What is proper tennis attire for the players?
Women tennis players have a few different choices when it comes to what they want to wear on the court.
I have played tennis for many years and have seen people wear a variety of different styles.
Traditionally women usually wear a tennis skirt (like this) with a tennis tank top or shirt.
Some women also sport tennis dresses that come in many different styles and colors.

Shorts can also be a popular choice for women tennis players, especially when they have pockets to put extra balls in like these ones.
Men typically wear a shirt with shorts.
What to Wear to a Tennis Match as a Spectator
If you are going to a tennis match in your community during the day then casual clothes are a good choice.
This could mean just shorts and a top or anything that makes you feel comfortable.
You will also want to consider the temperature and what the weather is going to be like as tennis matches and can last a couple hours and tournaments can last all day.
As a spectator you will want to make sure you have protection from the sun if you are going to matches outside in the summer.
Wearing sunglasses or throwing on a cute viser like this one can complete your look and give you some shade from the sun.
What to Wear to Tennis Practice
For tennis practice or a tennis lesson you can keep it pretty casual.
Some tennis teams or clubs will have a dress code so you will want to makes sure and check and make sure your tennis outfit is acceptable.

What to Wear to Play Tennis with Friends
If you are just getting together with friends to hit a few balls I would keep it casual.
Wear something that will keep you comfortable and allow you to move well.
You will also want to consider the temperature outside so that you will not be too hot or too cold while playing tennis.
Is there a dress code for tennis tournaments?
This will depend on who is hosting the tennis tournament.
City tennis tournments may have some guidelines to follow as well as tennis clubs.
If you are unsure of what to wear then it may be a good idea to chat with other people that are going to be competing in the tournament or give the hose of the tennis tournament a quick call to check.
